How does the Wireless PTLevel work?

  • There are two components provided, the transmitter (sensing unit) and the receiver (base unit).
  • The receiver is connected to your home WiFi with a required internet connection.
  • With the transmitter, it is mounted on the top of your tank where it is connected to the provided 13′ of 5/32″ tubing.
  • The other end of that small tubing is then connected to the weighted “Pressure Chamber”.
  • When the Pressure Chamber is dropped into your tank, the liquid pushes up into the chamber and creates an air pocket.
  • That air pocket is then read by the transmitter on a battery saving schedule (adjustable online).
  • The data is then sent from the transmitter to the receiver using a dedicated long distance radio link.
  • The receiver sends all the data from the transmitter to our online servers where it is processed into useful data for you.

Features and Specifications

  • Long distance low power wireless technology. 1500' or more can be achieved depending on the environment.
  • Runs on 4 AA batteries for years depending on how you adjust the reporting schedule of the device.
  • 13′ of tubing is supplied, but you may request more if needed.
  • Weatherproof design. It can be installed outside with no issue.
  • Transmitter is dual power source capable. A 2.5mm barrel jack is installed for the second power source upon request.
  • -40°C to 100°C temperature range.
  • Water depth maximum with supplied Pressure Chamber and sensor – 25′. If deeper depths required, please let us know.
  • Receiver dimensions – 2.15" x 3.75" x 0.9".
  • Transmitter dimensions – 2.72" x 5.5" x 2.0".
  • Pressure chamber dimensions – 9.85" total height, 3.58" base diameter, 1.02" base height, .87" tube OD.
