Product Overview
Call or email request for freight quote.
Because there are many possible delivery options and freight companies (depending on where you are located in the U.S.), it's best to call or email to request a freight quote.
Shipping Rate Tip: Shipping to a commercial address is generally less expensive than shipping to a residence. If you have the ability to have your water tank shipped to a commercial address (Ranches, farms, schools, and churches are not considered "commercial" addresses by the freight companies), it will save you money. If you are unable to offload the water tank from the back of the freight truck when it arrives (It will likely be on a pallet), a lift gate may be requested in advance for an additional fee. It typically adds $25-$30.
When requesting a freight quote, please include your city, state & zip. And please indicate if the delivery address is considered "residential" or "commercial" and whether you require a lift gate on the truck or not. Send request for freight quote to: jim@rainwaterequipment.com

Designed a line for tanks with all the fittings you need to start collecting the rain. Rain Harvesting Tanks come with a 12″ stainless steel strainer basket installed on the top of the tank. The strainer basket is the entry point of the tank and keeps large debris like sticks and leaves from getting into the tank. There is also a stainless steel screened overflow assembly, outlet bulkhead fitting and a 3/4″ bulkhead fitting for a water hose spigot. The stainless steel screened overflow assembly is designed for directing overflown water during large rain storms while keeping out pests & mosquitoes out of the tank. Our 3/4″ bulkhead fitting is placed at a height that enables you to install a spigot and fit a watering can underneath for filling.
Our 250 Gallon Rainwater Harvesting Tank is a great size to store your collected rainwater in ANY residential back yard! This tank will store twice the rainwater as a standard sized rain barrel and will take up the same foot print. This 250 gallon rainwater tank is small enough to hide behind bushes or a small privacy fence, which is required by some Home Owners Associations.
Rain Harvesting or Rainwater Collection is the catchment and storing of rainwater for use in a later date. There are numerous reasons for collecting rainwater. Rainwater collected from roofs of houses can make an important contribution to the general availability of water as well as household water cost savings. Whether you would like to water your plants, garden, home foundation, or have an outdoor water source for hand-washing or pressure washing, rainwater is FREE and you should collect it. If you don’t, we use energy to pump it back out of the ground! Collecting Rainwater is a self-sufficient way getting water and also provides a net positive impact on the environment. Whether your motivation is one or all of these, a Rainwater Harvesting Tank is arguably the most important component of your system!
Don’t settle for a plastic tank that requires retro-fitting in order to properly collect rainwater! Rainwater Tanks are assembled specifically for helping you properly collect rainwater! Sold exclusively through Retail and Online distribution, Our Rainwater Harvesting Tanks are available in various sizes as well as 4 different colors! Like all of our Vertical Storage Tanks, the 250 Gallon Rainwater Harvesting Tank is designed with 4 Dome Flats on the top of the tank and 4 Layout Flats at the base of the tank. These 8 flats surfaces set our tank design apart from others and allow you to daisy chain tanks together or provide flat surfaces for installation of additional outlet/inlet fittings, Tank Over Flow Fittings, Float Switches, Tank Gauges and other Rainwater Harvesting Accessories. Your installer or contractor will love having flexibility when needing to install additional fittings where you need them most in your application. 250 Gallon Rainwater Storage Tanks come with a 16″ Stainless Steel Mesh Tank Screen installed on the top of the tank. The Tank Screen (or sometimes referred to as a Strainer Basket) is the rainwater entry point of the tank. It’s primary job is to keep mosquitoes out of the rainwater tank and allows a large entry point of pre-filtered rainwater to enter the tank. Large debris like sticks and leaves should be filtered out prior to reaching the Strainer Basket by using a Rain Head and/or a First Flush Diverter. There is also a stainless steel mesh screened overflow assembly, outlet bulkhead. The stainless steel mesh screened overflow assembly is designed for directing overflown water during large rain storms while doubling to keeping pests & mosquitoes out of the tank. Our 3/4″ bulkhead fitting is placed at a height that enables you to install a spigot and fit a watering can underneath for filling. Collected rainwater is technically non-potable. Do not drink collected rainwater without proper filtration. Please contact your distributor for proper filtration methods.
